2010 promises to be the most exciting Taste Tasman with major sponsorship from several sponsors who have come together to help fund a full days line up of entertainment including iconic NZ artist and ex Nelsonian Sharon O'Neill, who will be backed by an all Nelson Band.

Taste Tasman Organising Committee will also run the Sounds of Tasman Music Seminar in conjunction with Sharon's visit to Taste Tasman. The seminar will be held at the Nelson School of Music 10am to 3.00pm on Wednesday 10th of March, 2010. This seminar will have speakers from APRA ( Australasian Performing Rights Assn), NZMIC ( New Zealand Music Industry Commission) & Creative NZ. As well as Sharon, Alan Mansfield (Producer and Keyboard player with Dragon,Robert Palmer, Bette Midler and more ) and seminar director Liam Ryan PHd in music, musical director of the National Jazz Festval, recording artist & songwriter with NZ Band The Narcs.

This will be a great day to learn and meet with some of the music industries very knowledgable people on issues including song writing, music funding & the music business.

The fee is only $30 for the seminar and this included a light lunch. Numbers are limited so register early.

Top New Zealand artists to play Harvest Hawke’s Bay 2010

New Zealand’s best known female singer/songwriters will headline the Harvest Hawke’s Bay Wine and Food Festival at Roy’s Hill, Hastings, on January 30^th.

Annie Crummer, Sharon O’Neill, Debbie Harwood, Shona Laing,  will perform together as “Give it a Girl”, with a full six piece band and introducing new talent Gala Harwood

“Give it a Girl’ will perform a string of classic hits plus current singles and songwriting from the talented artists.

Harvest Hawke’s Bay Wine and Food Festival organizer Carol-Ann Stubbs said the high calibre of the artists matched the award winning nature of the Hawke’s Bay wines.

“These extremely talented women have an appreciation for Hawke’s Bay’s fine wines and stunning produce and they are really looking forward to performing at this stunning new venue for Harvest Hawke’s Bay,” Ms Stubbs said.
