19.12.07 - Christmas
Messages from Sharon!
"Hi
Everyone!!!!!
It’s that
time of year and so I poached a quote from a beauty
contestant…world peace puleeze!
Oh well, nice try I guess, but in the real world let’s pray for it
anyway and treat each other kindly.
Enjoy the music, stop and listen, love one another unconditionally and
be forgiving.
Have a safe and happy Christmas and New Year. Shaz"

29.10.07 - Sharon on NZ
Radio 97.4 for Breakfast!
"Special in-studio guest was kiwi music legend Sharon O’Neill, one of
the stars of the concert experience, “Let It Be: The Beatles Songs of
Lennon & McCartney”. Her voice helped define kiwi music in the 80’s,
with hits like Maxine, Asian Paradise, Words, Don’t Let Love Go (with
Jon Stevens) and Luck’s On The Table, …that and tight satin pants.
Speaking of those pants, Sharon told us she made them herself – in fact
she made a lot of her stage outfits herself, as you did back in the day.
Unfortunately they had a habit of splitting, once while she was on
stage. Luckily it was in Palmerston North so nobody noticed. The other
day she was going through her old jewellery box and came across that
other Sharon O’Neill trademark, the sharktooth earring. She said it
looked pretty awful and had gone a funny colour…she said the last thing
she felt like doing was putting it in her ear!"
